Pablo Picasso (1881–19730) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet, and playwright. Considered one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, he is best known for co-founding the cubist movement, constructed sculpture, and collage. He was extremely prolific throughout his entire career, gaining renown and fortune in his lifetime. Through his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, he became one of the best-known figures of 20th-century art.
