It’s Pride Month here in NYC, and Pride Month means Pride Parade! This year’s parade will be taking place Sunday June, 26 at noon. The parade starts at 36th Street and 5th Ave and ends at Greenwich and Christopher streets, where you can continue the party. The first March was in 1970 and has become a New York tradition where all walks of life come out in support of the LBGT community. Anyone can view the parade or even walk in it for free, but if you want to show your support by walking you’ll have to have registered before the day. This year’s theme is “Equality Needs You,” and walkers can win an array of awards based on this.
