Before I Go To Sleep by S. J. Watson is a psychological thriller that follows around a woman with anterograde amnesia. Every morning she wakes up with no knowledge of who she is, and must reconstruct her memories from a journal she keeps. The reader follows Christine Lucas and learns as she does about who she was, and how she ended up like she is.
CAROLYN
Definitely a page turner! I read it in two days because I just had to find out what happens. It’s not the greatest mystery book I’ve every read, but it’s definitely exciting.
LORENA
I certainly appreciated my memory a lot more after reading this book! The book kept me guessing until the end, and I never expected the plot twist. Also, it felt convincingly that the narrator was women. Very well written.
CARRIE
Definitely lost some sleep reading this novel! Once I picked it up, it was hard to put back down because I just wanted to find out what happened to Christine. Maybe not my favorite thriller novel, but it kept me guessing until the end. I definitely didn’t expect the who of the who-done-it. Totally worth the read.
